Description

1. When the sun loses its spacious light and darkens out; 2. When the stars scatter and fall, losing their glitter; 3. When the mountains are wrenched out and leveled; 4. When the she-camels, ten months pregnant, are left untended; 5. When the beasts are herded together for requital; 6. When the oceans completely dry out; 7. When the souls are paired together, each with its alike; 8. When the female infant who was buried alive, is asked, 9. For what sin was she murdered; 10. When the journals recording deeds of men, good or bad, are spread open; 11. When the sky is vigorously scraped; 12. When the fire of Hell is fueled to a blazing fervid heat; 13. When Paradise is brought nearer; 14. Then, shall each soul know what it has brought forward in its journal. 15. Verily, I swear by the receding stars, 16. The planets that set and hide, 17. And the night as it falls and disappears, 18. And the dawn as it breathes out its light; 19. Verily, this Quran is the Word of Allah brought down by Archangel Jibril, a most honorable messenger, 20. Supported with extreme power to carry out what Allah ordered him without any weakness or powerlessness, 21. Obeyed by the angels of the sky and entrusted with the Revelation. 22. And, O people of Makkah, contrary to your claim, Muhammad is not insane. 23. And surely Muhammad saw Jibril in the clear eastern horizon. 24.
